Single role redundancy
The Brief
A creative agency recognised that the structure in one of their departments was not working effectively and costs needed to be reduced.
The client needed help establishing what the new structure should look like, in order to ensure business operations were not affected, as well as making the necessary cost savings. They also wanted support formalising the business rationale for the restructure and guidance throughout the entire redundancy process.
The Solution
Kane HR helped the client to identify what the restructure could look like and provided redundancy calculations to enable the client to establish the proposed structural change.
We then provided the client with consultation and at risk meeting guidance notes, to ensure that the redundancy process was handled fairly. We remained a point of contact via telephone and email throughout the process and also generated all associated letters that were issued at the various stages.
The Outcome
One employee was made redundant and the new structure allowed the department to run much more effectively, both in terms of costs and resourcing levels.
